Program Description:

The Summer Completion Grant Program provides financial assistance to lower-income undergraduate students in support of their pursuit of academic success. The grant is available to students with senior standing, who are able to complete their remaining degree requirements at Lehigh and graduate during the Summer session in which they receive the grant. The grant is offered as a one time gift and covers 50% of the recipient’s Summer tuition costs at Lehigh, up to $5,000.

Program Goals:

To improve the graduation rates of our lower income students, with emphasis on improving their 4-year graduation rate.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled at Lehigh during the Summer session
  • Ability to complete remaining undergraduate degree requirements within the Summer session at Lehigh and graduate
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Be in good academic standing

Participant Selection Process:

The Office of Student Retention works closely with the Office of Financial Aid, Registrar’s Office, and the undergraduate colleges to identify students who meet the eligibility criteria. Potential recipients are notified by the Office of Student Retention regarding their eligibility and the expectations for participation in the program.
